Fresno City College and the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship are honored to present the 2014 Central California Young Entrepreneurs Conference on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. We would like to invite you and your students to attend the FREE conference at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Fresno, California.

The CCYEC offers aspiring entrepreneurs, business & marketing students and any other student interested in catching the entrepreneurial spirit the opportunity to learn more about owning their own business and being successful in the entrepreneurial world. The CCYEC will offer breakout sessions presented by local young entrepreneurs on how to start and run your own business as well as motivating keynote presentations by two highly successful young business owners.

Our morning keynote speaker is Viliami Tuivai, otherwise known as “Coach V”. He is a Success Consultant, Team Dynamics Expert, and Motivational Keynote Speaker, providing hope and inspiration around the country. Through practicality and excitement, his high-energy approach, clarity, and passion for “The LIFE CHARACTERISTICS that yield CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS” is inspiring and motivating audiences and clients to ACHIEVE success in Life, Academics, Business, Sport and Relationships. Coach V has an NCAA Football Record of 125 Wins and 18 Lessons (not losses) in 11 years with UC Davis and Boise State. He has helped lead teams to 7 Conference Championships and 8 Bowl Game Appearances.

Students will then have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions presented by young entrepreneurs from the Central Valley who will share their stories on starting and running their own businesses. Session topics range from Social Media Marketing to Tips on Writing the Perfect Business Plan.

The CCYEC will conclude with lunch and a presentation from Johnny Cupcakes owner John Earle. In 2002, John began sporting his own brand of clothing with cupcakes as the theme, while on tour with his band; On Broken Wings. Interest in his shirts began to grow in popularity and a fan-base began to develop. In 2005, John opened his first store with the idea that his stores would look and smell like a cupcakery when a customer walked in. In 2008, John was named on the Best Entrepreneurs – 25 and Under List through BusinessWeek. In 2009, Inc. 500 listed Johnny Cupcakes #237 on its list of privately owned fastest growing companies in the U.S. In 2012, Johnny Cupcakes opened its fifth location. His clothing line has garnished international appeal for the unique cupcake theme.

The conference is FREE for all High School Students. General admission tickets are available for purchase. Lunch is included for all ticket levels.
